Gaggenau combines the economic strength of Baden-Württemberg with one of the most beautiful regions of Germany. Nestled in the Black Forest, surrounded by nature and crossed by the Murg River, it forms a medium-sized centre of the Middle Upper Rhine region together with its southern neighbour Gernsbach. The excellent transport links attracted Daimler AG to build a Mercedes-Benz plant here, alongside numerous medium-sized family businesses from the technology and service sectors.

At the same time, 29,000-inhabitant Gaggenau has retained the charms of a small town. The town is famous for its ample greenery and fountains, and a spa park also invites visitors to take a walk. Several daycare centres and schools, ranging from elementary to vocational, mean the town is particularly family-friendly. Distances are short, and the infrastructure for both cars and public transport is very well developed.
