GIEAG Immobilien AG celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the GERLINGEN WORK office property with all the companies, tenants, neighbors, business partners and representatives of politics and the press involved in the construction. GIEAG AG is developing a modern five-story office building with a gross floor area of approximately 30,000 square meters on the nearly 12,500 square meter site in Gerlingen, directly on the Stuttgart city limits. The property will be built in two construction phases and will be fully ready for occupancy in the third quarter of 2020.
Ed. Züblin AG, which belongs to the STRABAG Group and is headquartered in Stuttgart, has been commissioned to carry out the earthworks and shell construction. All office space in Building Section 1 has already been leased on a long-term basis to the BOSCH Group, while the internationally active company Aramark is the operator of a restaurant area on the first floor. The project will include a total of 2,000 square meters of gastronomy space, with the remaining space being used for offices.
CEO Thomas Männel of GIEAG Immobilien AG is delighted with the smooth progress of construction. “When plans become reality and you as a company can claim to have created something good and sustainable, it naturally fills you with pride,” says Thomas Männel.
Together with Jürgen Gerst, Managing Director of the project company GIEAG Projekt 290 GmbH, Thomas Männel thanked the more than 200 guests present, including Mr. Georg Brenner, Mayor of the City of Gerlingen, who also addressed the guests. The complete letting of the first building section at this early stage of the project was seen by the speakers as proof of the quality of the location and the project. Negotiations are already underway for the first leases in the second section.
